This book an ethnography of the Teduray of Figel weaves the spiritual journey of the author. The ethnographic but sympathetic accounts about the Teduray are interwoven with the personal struggles of the author as an American anthropologist doing field work in the rainforest of Figel, Cotabato. This is an excellent proof that academic rigor can be compatible with personal witness.
