Volatile emission from fumigant-treated utility poles

Annotation

The extent of volatile emissions in fumigant-treated utility poles and the effects of the kind of dowels on the emission of volatile fungicide are evaluated. Volatile emissions from holes covered with rubber dowels last for a shorter time and the fumigant are more confined than those from holes plugged with wooden dowels. The use of rubber dowels in plugging holes of utility poles is encouraged.
