Assesses the thrift practices by the people of Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte during the school year 1991-1992. Aided with questionnaire, this descriptive study involving 898 respondents suggest that the demographic factors like age, sex, and religion significantly affected the practice of thriftiness. Moreover, educational attainment as well as occupation likewise affected the said factor considered.
