The teaching of the humanities in tertiary schools in Cotabato City

Annotation

The study determines the state of the teaching of the humanities subjects in tertiary schools. Humanities subjects are History, Philosophy, Social Science, Rizal, Literature, and Art appreciation. The instructional materials used to teach these subjects are modules, syllabi, references and textbooks. The teaching strategies included participatory, integrative, reflective and facilitative. Problems encountered by the teachers are lack of professional training and inadequacy of learning materials and educational places for exposure.
