This article narrates the history of the Subanos as indigenous people, their subgroups based on the language they have evolved, recognize by the major river that they come from and where each particular group is abundant. It describes their livelihood, political system and organization, religious and cultural traditions. Main historical developments are highlighted and present fundamental problems and solutions are also presented.
