The perceptions of Maguindanaon parents on the education of their children

Annotation

The extent by which Maguindanaon parents perceive the education of their children in relation to social acceptance, economic security, and social mobility is very high. In relation to the status of education of the children, all children of Maguindanaon parent respondents are enrolled except those who are underage, and some are already professionals and have a permanent job. It has been found out that low percent of the parent respondents belongs to a family which is considered as monogamous. Further, their beliefs that education would corrupt the girls or that the religion would be forgotten are proven to be a fallacy and that Maguindanao parents highly perceive that education would offer better living condition for their children.
