The author contends that the kind of unity which ignores differences is not effective for a diverse Muslim Filipino society. Her theme is "unity in diversity". The Islamic communities and distinctions among the Maguindanaon, Tausug and Maranao, the three major Muslim groups in Mindanao, are brought to the surface. As a finale, she shows the process of completing her mural painting entitled, "The Filipino Muslim Cultural Heritage."
