This study covers only the period from the late 1960s to 1997 and focuses on the non-Islamized lumads in Mindanao. It is primarily concerned with the communities, groups, organizations, structures, agencies, institutions, networks and alliances that have constituted the Mindanao lumad social movement. The study will also look into the workings of the State to the extent that its policies and programs have affected the lives of the Lumads.
