There are at least twelve Lumad ethno-linguistic groups in the thriteen provinces enumerated in the Tripoli Agreement as the proposed territory of the Muslim autonomous region. This is a cause for worry among the affected Lumad communities who have expressed their own desire to govern themselves in accordance with their own customary laws.
