This paper presents the integrated approach that is developed for the introduction of micro-concrete roofing technology in Mindanao where there is no existing tradition on roofing tiles. This also involves product and technology marketing as well as coordinating sponsorship efforts from various government and private agencies. FCR/MCR (Fiber Concrete Roofing) tiles are made of cement mortar mixed with a small amount of natural or synthetic fiber. This roofing material can compete with most of the conventional roofing materials.
