It discusses the early American view of the "Moros" as they are called and in many ways reflects to a certain degree the policies adopted by the Americans to pacify the Muslim Filipinos in the early decades of American rule. It gives us an account of most Americans who served as officers or soldiers in Mindanao, who wrote of their experiences.
