Describes the visible roles of Muslim women in education and occupation which are no longer bound by the traditional norms and practices. Factors considered in the emergence of role are the advent of modern communications, greater access of higher and better education, facility for travel and expanded contacts with other people and other ideas. The new status means a more careful balancing of the delicate equation of changes and tradition. These changes may even make the Filipino Muslim family a much stronger social institution.
