This paper deals with the century old hostilities between Christians and the Muslims in the Philippines and the events that triggered the confrontation between these two religious communities. Furthermore, it discusses the confrontation which aroused international repercussion including statements and resolutions of prominent Muslim leaders and Islamic organization all over the world.
