The biology and culture of the spanner crab, Ranina ranina Linnaeus, is studied for fourteen months in Jolo, Suu and Camiguin Island. Observations reveal that R. ranina thrives in corallines and with depths ranging from 3.2 to 100 meter. Feeding requirement studies indicate that the zoeae survived significantly longer with Brachionus feeding.
