A study which pinpoints the tidal flats from Aclan, Nasipit to Vinapor, Carmen, and a part of Tubay, Agusan del Norte as suitable sites for Eucheuma farming. Identifies favorable environmental factors are: presence of other algae, eel grasses and benthic animals, moderate water movement, sandy substrate/bottom with abundant flora and fauna, about 1-2 ft. water depth at the lowest tide, sheltered area from strong waves and currents, far from river mouths and bays, average salinity of 322 ppts, temperature of 28-29oC, and pH 7.3-8, and accessible to transportation, communication and market facilities.
