GEM undertakes a strategic study on the potential of Mindanao as a globally competitive player in the sugar industry. Results of the study will provide the sugar industry with an information on the sources of inefficiencies and lack of cost-effectiveness, including the projected growth of the regional and national demand. It also outlines the propose strategies and action plan for a globally competitive sugar industry.
