In recent years the study of Philippine entrepreneurship has evoked interest among writers. This awakening is largely due to the realization that entrepreneurs, whoever they are and wherever they live, provide the needed economic leadership upon which depend vital changes in the rhythm of socioeconomic development. It is acknowledged that an increase in the supply of (or quantity supplied by) entrepreneurs, or an improvement in the quality of services they deliver, ushers in the industrial transformation of society.
