Aline port of madre de cacao are planted along the perimeter around the experimental area which also serve as source for the needed legume component of the forage materials being fed to the experimental animals. Improved pasture specifically for the two treatments, one hectare for paragrass, and another one hectare for golden timothy, are established. The growth of the improved pasture areas is maintained by weeding at regular intervals. Expected carrying capacity of improved pasture species are determined based on biomass present in the field per unit of time.
