Scintillators are materials that absorb the enery of the ionizing radiation and emit a photon upon de-excitation. These are generally grouped into inorganic, organic and gaseous scintillator. Experiments characterizing two different types of scintillator detectors are done at the High Energy Physics (HEP) Laboratory of MSU-IIT.
