The Misamis University Community Extension Program (MUCEP) is separate department of Misames University created to translate into sound community based projects that is the university's vision of reaching out to the poor. This paper describes the approaches and principles adopted to implement its program in the target barangays, particularly on food production/income generating projects, reforestation program, management and leadership development, and health/nutrition.
