Rooting of blackpepper cuttings and its subsequent growth

Annotation

Cuttings with leaves have significantly greater number of roots, longer roots and higher rooting percentage than leafless cuttings while bud sprouted significantly ahead from leafless cuttings. Soaking of cuttings in 200 ppm ANAA induced greater number of roots. Cuttings soaked in water exert the most influence on the performance of transplants manifested in the production of leaves, largest leaves, tallest plants, more nodes and widest shoots.
