Regional adaptability tests of different varieties of tomatoes

Annotation

Evaluates the regional adaptability of new tomato varieties in terms of yield, pest resistance and eating quality. This study was conducted for two cropping (1990 wet and 1991 dry seasons) at Ipil Experiment Station and Seed Farm in Ipil, Zamboanga Del Sur (castilla clay soil). The tomato varieties adaptable were: Panag-ulan, CL-5915-206-(G)-D4-2, and CL-5915-222 (G) DA-0. Thus, these varieties are recommended for either backyard or commercial planting in Region IX.
