Ramadan is one of the Islamic practices which give us a deeper knowledge and understanding of how an indigenous practice is merged with a purely Islamic practice. This paper discusses and describes how Islam is observed and practiced by the Maranaos of Lanao. It is step taken towards understanding of the Muslims in the Philippines and appreciation of their culture.
