Describes and compares the prothalial and sporophyte development of four Microsorium species. Likewise, parameters like time of germination, number of cells composing the hairs, number of cells composing the neck of anchegonia, shape of the cells at the tip of the archegonia neck, the rate of development of juvenile sporophyte, and the presence or absence of hairs in the juvenile sporophytes are also noted and compared.
