Professional development needs and problems of beginning teachers in secondary schools

Annotation

The results of the study show that the kind of assistance wanted most by first, second, and third year beginning teachers to grow and develop professionally was feedback on the practice. There exists no significant difference in the degree of professional needs among first, second, and third year beginning teachers. The problem area that beginning teachers have greater degree of difficulty is in professional growth.
