An article of Mindanao and the reasons for their retarded economic development, namely, lack of education and proper attention from the government, too much politics, land grabbing, and close family ties. The following recommendations were raised: agricultural development through financial aid construction of roads reexamination of the educational system in relation to the cultural minorities and creation of a body to plan and execute farm settlements patterned after the EDCOR.
