Analyzes the students poor comprehension in English word problems in order to assess their comprehension on verbal problem particularly in Algebra. The study mentions about the high significant relationship between the level of comprehension and the problem solving ability. Utilizes a normative-survey to gather data and other techniques or instruments are used namely: teacher-made test, mathematics attitude inventory, the study habits inventory and an inventory of reasons for taking Mathematics.
