This study mainly deals with the rise and fall of the Kabuntalan Sultanate. It describes in detail the pre-Sultanate period which saw the rise in political power of the Kabuntalan Sultan. The changes brought about by the influence of Western constitutional form of governance are also discussed in the paper.
