The study focuses on bacteriostatic effect of fifteen species of marine algae. Data reveal that "Lukot' had the strongest bacteriosatatic effect followed by Caulerpa racemosa, Eucheuma stratum and hypnea esperi which appears to have exerted comparatively the same degree of inhibition against the test organisms.
