Ozamiz: A case study of urban anthropology

Annotation

The study aims to describe the culture and social structure of Ozamiz, a Philippine City of 36,000 people. Lacking industry, the city is an entrepot for outlying villages producing copra and rice and is both an extension of the agricultural way of life and a unique form of urban life. A special focus is the nature of social stratification. Cultural norms are explored using the TAT and SCT projective techniques on a cross-section of the population.
