This experiment evaluates the response of the corn-peanut rotation to the application of compost made from corn cobs, wild sunflower tops and chicken manure at application rates from 0-4 ton per hectare and green manuring using mucuna. Result shows that applied compost is still ineffective in increasing soil pH and in lowering the concentration of aluminum after two years of application and the plots have higher phosphorus. Highest net income was obtained in corn (crop III) using the mucuna green manure.
