This unpublished work examines and compares oral traditions of five ethnic groups: Tausugs, Yakans, Samas, Jama Mapuns, and Badjaos. It notes similarities between the Yakan literary arts and that of the Sama and Tausug and between the Yakan and the Tausug performing arts. The manuscript also discusses Yakan visual arts and provides illustrations of its colorful weaving skills and artistic creativity.
