Determines the effect of four different rates of nitrogen fertilizer applications on transplanted rice in Lamitan, Basilan Province. The treatment are as follows: T1 (control), T2 (15kg N) applied once at 5-7 days before panicle initiation, T3 (30 kg N), T4 (40 kg N), twenty kilograms applied ten days after transplanting plus twenty kg applied one week after panicle initiation. Treatment 3 (30-0-0 kg NPK/ha) gives the highest yield of 3.06 tons per hectare. No significant differences are noted among Treatments 3,4 and 5. Other treatments are found significantly inferior to treatment 3. Economic analysis gives an MRR of 100.17 percent for treatments while the rest are dominated.
