Three cropping patterns: EP1 (Coco + Banana + Cocoa + Mung, EP2 (Coco + Pineapple + Cocoa + Mung) and EP3 (Coco+(Mung-Corn-Peanut) are compared to Coco alone. The study is done in Pinan, Zamboanga del Norte during crop year 1986-89. For the three consecutive cropping years of testing, EP3 obtain MCBR values of more than 2.0 which is considered promising and thus, recommended for barangay piloting.
