Varietal trials of sixteen sorghum entries are conducted. Seven entries with top performance in the first trial are selected and further screened. A verification trial of three top performers (UPL SG-5, KU 439, and VG-146) is undertaken to compare with corn (improved tiniguib and IPB var 2). Insecticides and fertilizer trials are also done for pest control and optimum yield respectively.
