Formal values of being responsible for others, maintaining order, sense of security, and kids were the most dominant elements in the work life of the teacher respondents. Of lesser importance were variables such as feeling poor, feeling of failure, feeling emotionally drained, frustrating circumstances, boredom, isolation of peers, conflict and loneliness. The teachers work life variables do not relate to their work setting.
