Findings showed that teachers talked less than two thirds of the total class time while students talked for 41 percent of the total class time. Teachers use indirect influence, give the students enough time to express their own ideas, and keep the students active. Teachers who have been trained in the Summer Institute Classes use indirect influence and that the students participate fully in the classroom discussion.
