The study, which consists of three experiments replicated four times, shows that plant response to the application of growth regulating chemicals (Paclobutrazol, Cycocel and Alar) is usually more time dependent than rate dependent. Under optimal weather conditions such as sufficient rainfall and suitable daily temperature however, lower rates applied anytime from rapid vegetative growth to the onset of flowering can also be effective.
