Reports that dense mangrove stands are found in the northeastern part of Baliangao along the Sinian River. There are forty-eight species of fish recorded in 1993 and seventy-five species a year after. With regard to reef structures and coral, it reports that sand and coral rubble dominate with low live coral cover and dead corals in shallow areas among others.
