An analysis concerning the local banana industry which for the past two years has been experiencing downward skid. It contends that an increasingly restrictive international economy has become an all too narrow outlet for bananas from the Philippines and Central America, creating a serious glut that has resulted in dirt leap prices, drastic production cutbacks, and layoffs in producer-countries.
