A study is conducted in Northern Mindanao to collect and test gabi varieties. Out of eighteen collections, three are identified promising and included in the National Cooperative Testing. Varieties CG-6 (Claveria Gabi) together with PRG-734 as PSBVG # 3 and PSBVG # 2 are recommended to the Philippine Seed Board. Cultural management of the latter two varieties is properly discussed.
