This research proposal determines the impact of the culture contact with other Muslim cultures in the Middle East and Southeast Asian countries on the national identification and attachment of Philippine Muslims. Filipino Muslims, who do not identify themselves with the Philippines, favor a separate or autonomous region and those who identify opposed for separation or autonomy.
