National Cooperative Testing (NCT) in Field Legumes (Mungbean, Soybean and Peanut)

Annotation

Data reveal that of the eleven entries of mungbean evaluated at USMARC during the 1996-97 wet season, PSB Mg-1, the national check variety, produced the highest yield followed by IPBM 85-45-18 and IPBM 85-45-04. During the dry season, IPBM 85-45-04, IPBM 85-45-8 and IPBM 85-34-04 outyielded the check variety. While peanut product, IPB Pn 88-41-59 outyielded the check variety PSB Pn-2 during the 1996-97 wet season. During the dry season, IPB Pn 88-36-10 and IPB 88-41-59 significantly outyield PSB Pn-2, the national check variety. Thus, in both wet and dry season trials at USMARC IPB Pn 81-41-59 and IPB Pn 88-36-10 consistently outyield the check variety.
