Muslim rebellion in Mindanao is seen as majority-minority relations problem where Muslims belonging to minority feel an effort of Christian dominated government to alienate them from Islam and their cherished traditional values and customs. Displacing them from their ancestral homes and traditional lands and the exploitation of natural resources by foreign corporations and local Christian capitalists. They feel not represented in the formulation of government policies and fight for identity as people. The Tripoli Agreement is believed to be the solution, however, controversies between the government and MNLF, and questions on MNLF's leadership arise. Christian majority is neglected in the negotiation and now claims for the inclusions in peace talks.
