The author describes the unique characteristics of the Muslims as well as the features of their community or society which shares the rest of the Philippine social and cultural groups. The seemingly separated Muslim and Christian groups are the results of the accidental variations in religious and political alignment. Muslims have maintained their Islamic creed and their Moro-Arab political system since the time of the Missionaries while the Christians have remained under the dominant influence of Christianity and the Spanish political system. The influence is still traceable to our present day constitutional institutions.
