A survey is conducted in the province of Bukidnon from 29 May 1986 - 17 January 1987 to evaluate extent of herbal healing. It shows that folk healing with herbal medicine is very prevalent. Twenty species are described and morphologically identified. Histochemical tests are made from the different organs of the plants to determine the presence and localization of active principles in the plant tissues.
