Tackles how Mindanao suffered from an erratic economic performance that led to problems of high poverty incidence from 1975 to 1992. But after a span of seventeen years, Mindanao economy has achieved four years of consistent and solid growth. The paper was divided into three sections. The first part looks at the past development record of Mindanao. The second section expounds on its achievements between 1992 and mid-1997. The third part identifies the challenges that we need to address and the agenda for reforms that we need to pursue.
