This study surveys the relationship between mass media exposure and the attitude of U.P. students toward Christian-Muslim assimilation, more specifically, in Mindanao. Compared to other religious groups, the Roman Catholics emerged as having a more favorable attitude towards assimilation. More students favor Christian-Muslim assimilation than those who are indifferent to or against it. It concludes that since most of those who favored assimilation are Christians, this could be an indication that religion is losing importance as the root cause of the tension between the Muslims and the Christians. Further research along this area of study is recommended by the author to keep the public abreast with the recent development on Muslim-Christian relation.
