A study on a new recorded pest of mangosteen wherein S. rubrocintus (Griand) is more dominantly observed on flowers, fruitlets and flushes a stage range of 26-34 days. Thrips damage is observed in all the mangosteen forms surveyed in Davao City, South Cotabato and North Cotabato.
