Mandate in Moroland: The American government of the Muslim Filipinos, 1899-1920

Annotation

This work traces in detail the contacts of the Muslim Filipinos to the various influencing powers of the Philippines. It focused on the American regime, particularly, the Moro-American relations. An extensive discussion on the Muslim Filipinos is given. It is pointed out that the American government of Moroland did not succeed in really uniting the Moros and the Christian Filipinos. The author proposes an immediate intensive campaign for Muslim-Christian unity but no specific statement as to how this can be done.
